AeroPress - The Versatile Coffee Press
The AeroPress Coffee Maker creates coffee, espresso, or a highly concentrated coffee extract, which is then diluted with hot water. Professional coffee tasters enjoy working with the AeroPress because they appreciate the exceptionally aromatic coffee. Thanks to the micro paper filter used, a clear coffee with a robust flavor is obtained, as coffee oils and sediments are filtered out. The AeroPress employs a unique technique - the Inverted Technique. In the AeroPress, assembled upside down, coffee and water are brought into full contact - Full Immersion. Due to the short extraction time of max. 1 minute, this wonderfully smooth coffee without bitterness is created. Unlike other coffee presses, such as the French Press, extraction is abruptly halted, and the filter separates all fine particles from the coffee.
With the AeroPress, instead of the inverted method, you can also simply use the pour-over method. The result is similarly impressive.
By adjusting additional parameters, which everyone can determine individually, you can create your personal favorite coffee. With the AeroPress, it's all about trying things out. Do you enjoy experimenting?

AeroPress by Aerobie - Manufacturer of Frisbees?
Aerobie, the manufacturer of the AeroPress, based in the USA, is better known for producing frisbees and other plastic outdoor sports equipment. However, with the AeroPress, invented in 2005 by American Alan Adler, Aerobie has achieved a truly successful venture into coffee makers. The AeroPress stands out a bit from Aerobie's product line. However, if one views it as a coffee maker for leisure, it fits right in. The AeroPress has always been phthalate-free and has been free from bisphenols, including Bisphenol-A (BPA) and Bisphenol-S (BPS), since 2009. The plastic is characterized by its taste-neutrality.
What Grind Size Should Be Used for AeroPress?
The AeroPress can best extract the fine aromas of coffee when a fine to medium-fine grind size is chosen for the coffee powder. The paper filter filters out natural coffee oil and sediments, flavor compounds are optimally dissolved in a short time, and bitter substances are only very minimally introduced into the coffee. The short extraction time allows for the creation of a full-bodied, aromatic coffee with a robust, clear taste.
Which Coffee to Use for AeroPress?
For AeroPress coffee, we recommend a light roast and fruity coffees, but simply try your favorite coffee, experiment with the AeroPress, and compare it to other brewing methods.
Tip: Try our "Papua New Guinea" coffee, an incomparably aromatic, chocolatey, fruity-floral coffee. Its kinship to "Jamaica Blue Mountain" coffee is unmistakable. You will love the flavor diversity of this exceptional coffee, prepared with the AeroPress.
Cleaning the AeroPress
Cleaning the AeroPress is extremely easy. After unscrewing the filter, just push out the coffee grounds - done. For thorough cleaning, the AeroPress can be placed in the dishwasher or cleaned with soapy water.
Advantages of the AeroPress
The AeroPress is ideal due to its low weight and extremely stable plastic body, making it a perfect companion for travel, camping, the office, or at home. The AeroPress is easy to clean, either in the dishwasher or by hand with soapy water. Professional coffee tasters and coffee lovers appreciate the coffee press due to its simple yet excellent brewing method: The full immersion, the right temperature, and the rapid filtration create this exquisite AeroPress coffee.
1-3 AeroPress coffee cups in approx. 1 minute
Full-bodied, aromatic coffee with few bitter notes due to short extraction time with full contact between water and coffee
Robust and, above all, clear taste thanks to the filter
Simple and practical coffee preparation
Fast cleaning
Low weight due to stable hard plastic, the optimal coffee press for travel
Versatile coffee preparation with the Pour Over and Inverted methods, as well as individual parameters
Disadvantages of the AeroPress
For many coffee lovers, choosing a coffee maker made of plastic is an absolute no-go. The AeroPress, however, has convinced us with the quality of its coffee. The plastic is absolutely taste-neutral, and thus the AeroPress scores points by brewing a truly good coffee. However, water hotter than 90 degrees Celsius should not be used. The AeroPress is certainly not considered one of the most beautiful coffee makers. But beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. The capacity of the AeroPress at 200ml is small compared to other coffee makers, but in return, you always have freshly prepared coffee and a brewer that is quickly cleaned to make the next coffee.
Plastic can only withstand a maximum temperature of 90 degrees Celsius
Plastic could negatively influence the taste, but has proven to be taste-neutral
The Aesthetics: The AeroPress is not one of the most beautiful coffee makers. However, its handling makes it appear stylish again.
The AeroPress requires a filter
Only 200ml of coffee can be pressed per brewing session

BREWJAR by dripdrip - perfect Full Immersion Cold Brew
With the BREWJAR from dripdrip, you can instantly create a perfect Full Immersion Cold Brew Coffee. The DRIPSTER² also comes from dripdrip.
BREW JAR - the Cold Brew Maker for hot days
The BREW JAR impresses with its high-quality craftsmanship and effortless handling. The double-layered stainless steel filter produces a clear, pure Cold Brew. The high-quality glass in Mason Jar style is a Quattro Stagioni glass. The prepared Cold Brew Coffee is hermetically sealed with a screw cap and can thus be easily stored in the refrigerator due to its compact dimensions - a great advantage over many other Cold Brew Makers. The material is effortlessly cleanable in the dishwasher. A special highlight: The BREWJAR comes with a recipe card featuring delicious recipe ideas - summer can come!
Practical: Depending on the desired quantity of Cold Brew, the BREWJAR is available in two sizes: BREWJAR with 1.0 liter and BREWJAR XL with 1.5 liter capacity.
The BREWJAR or 'das' BREWJAR?
According to dripdrip, BREWJAR takes the article “das”. So we're happy to call it “das BREWJAR”, probably derived from “das Glas” (the glass) instead of “der Krug” (the jug). The BREWJAR comes from dripdrip, a trademark of Tradena Hamburg, who also developed the DRIPSTER². The DRIPSTER² is the ultimate Cold Brew Maker, with which you can produce an incomparable Cold Brew. This innovative machine, which resembles something from chemistry class, can be operated using either the Cold Drip or Full Immersion method. Despite their differing appearances, Brew Jar and DRIPSTER² have completely captivated us and convinced us with their values - you can read more in our Cold Brew Maker Test.
The BREWJAR made of high-quality Quattro Stagioni Glass
The stylish Quattro Stagioni glass, which forms the vessel of the Brewjar Cold Brew Jar, is not only excellent as a Cold Brew maker but was originally perfectly suited for canning, similar to the German WECK-Glas or traditional canning jars. For generations, this glass has been produced in Italy and safely preserves culinary delights not just for the four seasons, but for years. This high-quality branded glass is heat-resistant, cold-resistant, and robust.
Why we especially love the BREWJAR? The Cold Brew Maker was manufactured entirely without plastic. Only its sealing ring is made of food-safe silicone. Furthermore, it presents itself with great style and makes an excellent table decoration.
Double-layered Stainless Steel Filter for pure Cold Brew and Flavors
The core of the BREWJAR is a double-layered stainless steel filter, specifically designed for pure Cold Brew enjoyment. The first layer, with its stable, hexagonal structure, is complemented by an extremely fine stainless steel mesh as the second layer. This way, with the BREWJAR filter, you obtain an exceptionally clear,
cold brewed coffee without unwanted fine particles. The filter is equipped with a gasket made of food-safe silicone. The rubber ring is also removable and therefore very easy to clean. Cold, clear coffee with tangy fruity to nutty chocolatey aromas is the result.
The Optimal Seal for Great Enjoyment
The silicone from which the rubber gasket is made is not only food-safe, but it also seals the BREWJAR hermetically and protects the Cold Brew coffee from foreign odors, for example in the refrigerator, and reliably seals against leakage.
Thus, the BREWJAR can even be easily shaken for even more effective extraction, unlike other Cold Brew makers where the mixture usually needs to be stirred. Upside-down storage and transport in all positions are safely possible with the sealing lid. The finished Cold Brew can thus be hygienically stored in the refrigerator for a week without any problems.
Advantages of the BREWJAR
high-quality material made of glass, stainless steel filter, and food-safe silicone gasket
available in two sizes: 1.0l and 1.5l
double-layered stainless steel filter for pure Cold Brew enjoyment
airtight seal
recipe card for sensational Cold Brew Cocktails
cold, clear coffee with tangy fruity to chocolatey nutty aromas
Disadvantages of the BREWJAR
none
Conclusion: One *can* see a disadvantage in the glass body of the COLD BREW JAR, but one doesn't *have* to. The sturdily crafted vessel can, of course, break on the go or at home - it's glass after all. Coffee lovers who prefer to enjoy their drink from porcelain or glass have found exactly the right Cold Brew Maker in the BREWJAR - and at a first-class price!

Cold Brew Preparation with BREWJAR
Preparing Cold Brew with BREWJAR is as simple as it is brilliant: The coarsely ground coffee powder is filled into the stainless steel filter. A guideline is approximately 100g of ground coffee per liter of water. Insert the filter into the BREWJAR glass and pour cold water over it. Due to the added coffee powder, the capacity of the Cold Brew Jar is reduced accordingly by approximately 100 ml. Then place it in refrigeration for at least 12 hours, if not longer. The longer the Cold Brew Coffee steeps, the more intense its flavor becomes, and the more caffeine, for example, is extracted.
The small BREWJAR with a 1.0 l capacity is also excellent for small amounts of Cold Brew, as the filter insert extends close to the bottom of the glass. The large BREWJAR Cold Brew Jar features the identical filter with a capacity of 150g. Consequently, the filter is positioned much higher in the glass.
The Chemex Coffee Carafe - Filter Coffee Preparation in a Stylish Design
Made from borosilicate glass that does not absorb odors or chemical residues
For a pure, flavorful filter coffee in a timelessly elegant design
Innovative Chemex paper filter for reducing suspended solids and bitter substances
The Chemex carafe combines coffee maker and coffee pot
What makes Chemex coffee so extraordinary?
With the Chemex coffee maker, a particularly clear filter coffee is produced, because the paper used for the filter is thicker than conventional paper filters and filters out coffee oil and coffee grounds much more effectively. By filtering out bitter substances, the acidity develops clearly and the natural sweetness of the coffee comes to the fore. Lovers of clear coffee will adore the easy handling of the Chemex coffee maker and the coffee prepared with it. A special highlight of the Chemex carafe: it is a coffee maker and coffee pot in one. The preparation and serving of coffee can take place in a single vessel, the perfect fusion of function and design.
The carafe, crafted from a single piece of borosilicate glass, is extremely heat-resistant. The steam that forms dissipates through the pour spout in the upper part of the Chemex.
Chemex - clear design, clear taste.
Modern, Award-Winning Design
Invented in 1941 by the German chemist Peter Schlumbohm, the Chemex presents itself in the shape of an hourglass, reminiscent of an Erlenmeyer flask. The expert in filter technology and extraction replaced the flask-shaped neck with the characteristic funnel-shaped upper part of the glass carafe. To this day, the Chemex is produced in Chicopee, Massachusetts, USA, by the Chemex Corporation. The wooden collar typical of the Chemex is secured by an appealing leather tie, facilitates the pouring of hot water, and adds a visual accent to the coffee pot.
The timelessly elegant design of the Chemex carafe found its way into the Museum of Modern Art in New York as early as 1958 as one of the best-designed products of modern times and still resonates with these attributes today.
Thus, the Chemex can be found in numerous films and series from the 1950s, as well as in contemporary times, serving as an ornamental accessory on film sets.
Filter Coffee Machine, Teapot, and Water Carafe All in One
The Chemex was conceived and created as a filter coffee machine. Thanks to its taste and odor-neutral borosilicate glass, it can, of course, also be used at any time as a teapot or a water carafe, forming a visual centerpiece for storing your beverages. Chemex filters are excellently suited for preparing loose leaf tea.
Advantages of the Chemex
clear, flavorful coffee thanks to an innovative paper filter
excellent, timelessly elegant design
fast coffee preparation within 4 minutes
coffee maker and coffee pot united in the Chemex
Disadvantages of the Chemex
the coffee prepared with the Chemex cools down faster due to the carafe's glass body
the paper filters for the Chemex cost approx. €0.09 per piece

Ionic Coffee Pot - The Novelty Among Coffee Makers
Brand new on the market, the Ionic Coffee Pot has already convinced us. The infusion method used is also employed by professional coffee tasters. The special thing about coffee infusion is that the coffee is not over-brewed, but rather floats in the filter. The coffee is steeped, similar to tea. The water, through full contact with the coffee grounds, can thus optimally dissolve all valuable ingredients of the coffee bean. This method is also called Full Immersion. Thanks to the double-walled special filter, only the best goes into your coffee. With the Ionic Coffee Pot, you get a coffee that is wonderfully natural and authentic in taste.
What Makes the Ionic Coffee Pot So Special?
The double-walled stainless steel filter consists of an outer casing from which the finest holes have been laser-cut. The inner wall is formed from an extremely finely crafted filter mesh. This dual filter function produces a fantastic filter coffee without leaving too many fine particles in the coffee and reduces bitter substances to a minimum.
Which Grind Size to Choose for the Ionic?
There is no "right" grind size for the Ionic. A fine to medium-fine grind best extracts the delicate aromas from the coffee, resulting in a full-bodied and aromatic coffee. However, a slightly coarser grind can also achieve excellent results. Thanks to the Full Immersion method, the aromas are optimally released. As always in life, the grind size is a matter of taste. While with other coffee makers, extraction time often plays a decisive role in whether the coffee is good or not so good, with the Ionic, the coffee can be left in the filter within the pot.
Which Coffee Variety is Best for the Ionic?
You surely have your favourite coffee. Try it in the Ionic, as your favourite allows you to draw the best conclusions about the coffee's quality, the coffee maker, and the preparation. Are you thrilled with the final product? Then experiment with other coffee varieties from around the world. The infusion method best brings out fruity coffees with a light roast.
Cleaning the Ionic Coffee Pot
It couldn't be simpler. The Coffee Pot, the coffee carafe, and the stainless steel filter are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. Of course, you can also clean the individual parts by hand with soapy water.
Advantages of the Ionic Coffee Pot
With the beautifully designed Ionic Coffee Pot, Carl Henkel has created a true masterpiece. Besides its classically chic design, the coffee maker also impresses with its innovative filter technology. Furthermore, the Ionic allows you to brew a full-bodied, aromatic filter coffee in less than 5 minutes, without having to pay attention to grind size and extraction time. The Full Immersion method is even used by professional coffee tasters, as it yields an unadulterated, natural coffee.
Classic, beautiful design made of high-quality porcelain
Coffee preparation in less than 5 minutes
Full-bodied and aromatic coffee without bitterness
Easy handling, coffee grind size and extraction time have only an irrelevant effect on the final product
Porcelain keeps the coffee hot longer
Innovative filter technology
Double-walled stainless steel filter
Easiest cleaning
Disadvantages of the Ionic Coffee Pot
Disadvantages of the Ionic Coffee Pot? None. The Ionic Coffee Pot will delight you. The only "disadvantage": If you are a lover of very clear coffee, a coffee maker with a paper filter might be a better choice. However, we do not see the remaining fine particles in the coffee produced by the Ionic as a disadvantage; we perceive them as an enrichment.
For lovers of very clear coffee, a coffee maker with a paper filter is more recommended

DRIPSTER² - Cold Brew Maker and Cold Dripper in one
The DRIPSTER² is the ultimate 2-in-1 Cold Brew maker. With it, you can brew the perfect Cold Brew or Cold Drip Coffee.
DRIPSTER² - the multi-talent among Cold Brew makers
The DRIPSTER² has completely won us over. The DRIPSTER² is the multi-talent among Cold Brew makers: With it, you can prepare Cold Drip Coffee or Cold Brew Coffee using either the Cold Drip method or the Full Immersion method. In our Cold Brew Maker Test, it is the clear favorite alongside the BREWJAR. These Cold Brew makers from Hamburg come from "dripdrip - slow brewing stuff", and the crew from this innovative company truly understands their craft of slow brewing. The unique Cold Drip method yields a Cold Drip Coffee that simply tastes incomparable. With the DRIPSTER², both types of Cold Brew preparation can be best compared directly. When used as a Cold Brew Dripper, the DRIPSTER² surprises with a fruity-fresh drinking experience. If Full Immersion is used, the Cold Brew Coffee has a strong, roasted flavor.
Cold Brew Dripper or Full Immersion Cold Brew Maker?
Depending on the type of application, the DRIPSTER² is assembled differently, or the coffee grounds are placed elsewhere, and it can then be used as a Cold Brew Dripper or as a Full Immersion Cold Brew Maker.
Cold Drip
With Cold Drip, clear cold water or the meltwater from ice cubes slowly and steadily drips onto the coffee located below in the coffee filter.
Depending on the drip valve setting, the percolation process can last between 1 to 3 hours. The Cold Brew is collected in the glass carafe located below, which is included in the delivery. Preparation is complete after this period, whereas with other methods, Cold Brew Coffee still needs to steep in the refrigerator after preparation. Thus, with the Cold Brew Dripper, you achieve the "fastest" enjoyment of an incomparable Cold Drip Coffee.
The result with Cold Drip: The Cold Drip Coffee is exceptionally clear and complex, with the fruity aromas becoming particularly distinct.
Full Immersion
With Full Immersion, water is poured over coarsely ground coffee and kept in the vessel for 8 to 12 hours, or even up to 24 hours, in the refrigerator for extraction. Afterwards, the fully extracted cold coffee is separated from the coffee grounds using an additionally supplied filter. With the DRIPSTER², this method can be implemented in no time, and in a truly stylish way. What was previously the container for water or ice cubes in the Cold Drip method becomes the brewing vessel in the Immersion method. After the chosen extraction time, the brew is simply filtered into the glass carafe below using an additional metal filter.
The result with Full Immersion: The Cold Brew Coffee is significantly stronger and more intense in flavor, featuring roasted notes. Due to the long extraction time, significantly more caffeine is bound in the finished coffee beverage with Full Immersion Cold Brew than with the Cold Drip method.
The DRIPSTER² - The new generation for perfected Cold Brew enjoyment
The Dripster, the predecessor of the DRIPSTER², had already set standards in Cold Brew preparation and Cold Drip Coffee production. Just when one thought it was already perfect, the successor model, the DRIPSTER², surprises fans of cold coffee with absolute perfection of form and endless attention to detail in aesthetics and technology. With the DRIPSTER², everything simply fits. The revision is not just a slight upgrade; no, every single detail was re-examined during development and revised where necessary. The DRIPSTER² is better than television: you can watch the preparation for hours. For me, the process has something meditative about it, mixed with the anticipation of the wonderfully delicious end result. While the first generation still resembled a setup from a chemistry class, the "next generation" presents itself as an elegantly designed Cold Brew Dripper, which is simultaneously a Cold Brew Maker.
The DRIPSTER² - Premium quality as a concept
With the DRIPSTER², dripdrip has once again focused on premium quality and longevity down to the last detail. While individual plastic parts in the predecessor model could still be critically noted, the successor has also gained in quality in this regard.
The Coffee Container - Hand-crafted Glass
The coffee container of the DRIPSTER² has not only changed in shape. The predecessor carafe was already made from high-quality PYREX brand glass. The rectilinear vessel has been replaced with a hand-crafted, conical glass carafe, which now features a handle for better handling. A practical lid for sealing is, of course, included.
The Filters - for Cold Drip and Immersion Cold Brew
The DRIPSTER² filter for Cold Drip Coffee is a permanent filter made of ultra-fine stainless steel mesh. An additional filter for Immersion Cold Brew, which can be easily inserted, is also included in the scope of delivery.
Water Tank with Infinitely Adjustable Rotary Valve
Thanks to the infinitely adjustable rotary valve on the water tank, the flow rate can be individually set. Thus, the preparation of Cold Drip takes from 1 hour up to 3 hours. The same glass tank can serve as a water container for Full Immersion Cold Brew Coffee when the additional filter is used.
Special Feature - The Recipe Card
dripdrip's love for their product is rounded off by the included recipe card for the best Cold Brew Drinks. A clear, easy-to-understand instruction card for both methods is, of course, also included.
Advantages of the DRIPSTER²
2-in-1 - Cold Brew Dripper and Immersion Cold Brew Maker in one
High-quality materials made of glass, plastic, and stainless steel
Filter selectable for the applied method
Recipe card for the best Cold Brew Drinks
Fruity complex, cold, clear coffee with the Cold Drip method or strong roasted Cold Brew Coffee with the Immersion Cold Brew method
Disadvantages of the DRIPSTER²
None
Conclusion: The minimized plastic content in the DRIPSTER² could perhaps be mentioned as a disadvantage. However, these parts are of such high quality that they are not noteworthy as a drawback. During preparation, the plastic parts only come into contact with cold water and ice, which means no long-term impact on the material. All parts of the DRIPSTER² are dishwasher safe, and thus heat-resistant, high-quality, and durable. Thanks to the infinitely adjustable valve, the Cold Dripper can be adapted to all coffee types, yielding a perfect final result. With its compact size, the DRIPSTER² fits perfectly into the refrigerator for steeping. The DRIPSTER² is the ultimate 2-in-1 Cold Brew Dripper and Cold Brew Maker – and at an attractive price!

Cold Drip Preparation with the DRIPSTER²
Cold Drip preparation with the DRIPSTER² appears spectacular, but is very easy to use. The Dripster's assembly is also clearly explained on the instruction card: The insert with the ultra-fine stainless steel filter is placed into the glass carafe, and the coffee grounds are filled in. Now, the water tank is placed on top, into which either ice-cold water or ice cubes are added. Then, the valve is adjusted to regulate the flow rate. Thanks to the slow preparation method with cold water or ice cubes, the Cold Drip Coffee acquires its incomparably smooth aroma. Once the water has flowed through, or the ice cubes have melted and dripped through, preparation with the Cold Dripper is complete, and the Cold Drip Coffee is ready to enjoy.
Cold Brew Preparation with the DRIPSTER²
The DRIPSTER² can be operated just as easily with the Full Immersion method. For this, the carafe is set up, and the water tank is equipped with the additional filter, specifically for Full Immersion preparation. Coffee grounds are then placed into the water tank and poured over with icy water. Subsequently, the DRIPSTER² is placed in refrigeration and allowed to extract for up to 24 hours. Just like the amount of coffee, the extraction time can be adjusted to the connoisseur's preferences. After the time in the refrigerator, the cold brew is filtered into the glass carafe by opening the valve. Enjoy!

Sowden SoftBrew - Coffee Brewer and Coffee Pot in One
Designed by Milanese design pioneer George Sowden, the design of the Sowden SoftBrew captivates with its timelessness and elegant aesthetics. Sowden stands for innovation – new technology coupled with the classic charm of porcelain. Preparing coffee with the Sowden SoftBrew coffee pot is easy, uncomplicated, and quick.
The special feature of the Sowden SoftBrew is its unique stainless steel filter: 160,000 microscopic holes, with a size between 0.15 and 0.18 mm, allow the water to flow and offer an incomparable taste, without the disadvantages of other coffee brewers. The Sowden SoftBrew coffee filter works with the infusion method, which is often favored by professional tasters. Thanks to its specially developed coffee filter, the Sowden SoftBrew cleanly separates the coffee from the grounds, resulting in an unadulterated coffee with an exceptional aroma. The Sowden SoftBrew allows you as a coffee brewer to experiment and try out; the grind size of the coffee can be fine, medium, or coarse. With very finely ground coffee, the Sowden SoftBrew allows the finest particles to pass through to a certain extent, giving the coffee a typical body. After brewing, simply remove the coffee filter. The Sowden SoftBrew coffee pot then presents itself in elegant, white porcelain and a timeless design. Both the coffee pot and the coffee filter of the Sowden SoftBrew are dishwasher-safe and easy to clean. The Sowden SoftBrew is typical of Sowden himself – simple yet perfect.
Tips for Brewing with the Sowden SoftBrew
Brewing is very simple:
Insert coffee filter into the SoftBrew coffee pot
Add coffee to the filter
Pour in water that is no longer boiling
Stir
Let it steep for at least 4 minutes
Remove filter
The coffee is ready
For brewing, it is recommended to use 12 grams of fine, medium, or coarsely ground coffee per cup.
