Events at Kirmse Coffee Roastery: Where Indulgence Resides

Our events are far more than mere courses – they are a tribute to craftsmanship, quality, and mindful indulgence. Particularly popular are our weekly sessions, which offer you regular insights into our manufactory: Experience our Coffee Roasting Demonstration up close every Wednesday, embark on a sweet journey every Thursday at the Chocolate Tasting or sharpen your senses every Friday at our professional Coffee Tasting (Cupping).

For those who wish to delve deeper into the subject and get hands-on, we have developed our intensive formats. Learn in the Barista Course how to create the perfect crema and silky milk foam, or become a roast master yourself in our Coffee Roaster Workshop and refine your very first batch. Finally, for those looking to turn their hobby into a profession, our Professional Coffee Roaster Workshop offers in-depth training, from plant cultivation to legally sound financial planning.

Our events are far more than mere courses – they are a tribute to craftsmanship, quality, and mindful indulgence. Immerse yourself in a world where the bean becomes an art form and pleasure knows no bounds.

Our Weekly Highlights (Perfect for Holidaymakers & Connoisseurs)

For those who wish to get a glimpse into the daily life of a coffee roaster, we offer fixed sessions every week. These formats are perfectly suited for immersing yourself in the world of sensory experiences without requiring extensive prior knowledge:

• Wednesday | Coffee Roasting Demonstration: Wednesdays are dedicated to craftsmanship. At our Coffee Roasting Demonstration, you'll experience live how hard, green raw beans are transformed into an aromatic masterpiece. We'll guide you through our in-house coffee museum and show you that coffee is a cultural asset with a fascinating history – from the Viennese coffee house tradition to modern artisan roasting.
• Thursday | Chocolate Tasting: Thursdays are dedicated to sweetness. Our Chocolate Tasting is a must for every gourmet. We'll sample 12 exquisite creations from leading chocolatiers such as Zotter, Bonnat, and Lauenstein. You'll not only learn the difference between cacao and chocolate but also discover fascinating facts about the health aspects of the "food of the gods".
• Friday | Coffee Tasting (Cupping): Fridays will sharpen your senses. At the Coffee Tasting, you'll learn to assess coffee like a professional. We'll slurp our way through various continents and processing methods. You'll be amazed how clearly you can distinguish nuances of berries, nuts, or caramel once you know how.

All upcoming dates will soon be clearly listed in our event calendar, through which you can conveniently secure your spot directly via online booking.

Kirmse Coffee Roastery - An Oasis for Connoisseurs in the Heart of Lower Bavaria

Our coffee manufactory in Prälat-Neun-Straße in Zwiesel is a place where time seems to slow down a little. Amidst historic roasting machines, nostalgic advertising posters from coffee's "golden era," and the rhythmic clacking of our drum roasters, we create an atmosphere that invites you to linger and learn.

Coffee roaster Jens Kirmse has created an experiential world here that combines culture with cuisine. Whether you're a tourist exploring the Bavarian Forest or a local wanting to deepen your expertise: our doors are open to you.

Kirmse Coffee Roastery Events - Your Culinary Highlight in the Bavarian Forest

Our events are as diverse and individual as our coffee varieties. Since all experiences take place in the cosy, fragrant atmosphere of our manufactory, they offer the perfect setting for any occasion – entirely irrespective of the weather:

• Holiday Highlights & Wet Weather Programme: Looking for the ideal activity in Zwiesel when the sun isn't shining? Our roastery is the perfect destination in the Bavarian Forest for an exciting indoor experience that also offers deep relaxation.
• Group Events & Team Building: Whether it's a company outing, club trip, or private family celebration – roasting or tasting together fosters bonds and creates lasting conversation topics. For groups, we are happy to arrange exclusive appointments outside standard hours upon request.
• Special Gift Ideas: Surprise your loved ones with a voucher for a shared experience that extends far beyond the moment. A Kirmse Coffee Roastery indulgence voucher is the ideal gift for anyone who loves something special.
• Professional Development: Take your hobby or business to an entirely new level. With us, you learn directly from the expert and take home sound knowledge that will sustainably transform your coffee enjoyment.

Our Intensive Workshops (For the Inquisitive & Doers)

For those who want to delve deeper into the subject and get hands-on, we have designed our intensive workshops. Here, "learning by doing" is paramount:

• The Barista Course: Do you dream of the perfect espresso with dense crema? In this course, we'll show you how to master your home espresso machine. From adjusting the grind to perfect extraction and the art of frothing milk for silky latte art – we'll turn you into a hosting pro.
• Coffee Roasting Workshop (Beginner): Become a master roaster yourself. In this workshop, we will jointly visit our coffee warehouse – Zwiesel's legendary "treasure chamber." You'll learn everything about botany and green coffee before we jointly refine your first batch on the drum roaster. A deep dive into an almost forgotten craft.
• Professional Coffee Roaster Intensive Course: The ultimate 3-day programme for visionaries. Whether you want to open your own roastery or have professional ambitions in hospitality – this course covers everything. From complex roast profile control to sensory analysis, legal fundamentals, customs issues, and business calculations.
