Green Coffee - Losing Weight Naturally
Green coffee is becoming increasingly known and popular and has long ceased to be an insider tip for weight loss. Scientific studies have concluded that coffee is healthy, and green coffee in its natural form even more so.
What is Green Coffee?
Green coffee describes the green coffee bean in its unroasted form. The green coffee bean demonstrably contains over 800 ingredients such as alkaloids including caffeine and trigonelline, proteins such as amino acids (lysine and threonine), carbohydrates such as cellulose and polysaccharides, lipids, as well as enzymes, minerals and water, flavourings and acids, and polyphenols, among which chlorogenic acid is counted. Chlorogenic acid is the ingredient that makes weight loss with green coffee possible in the first place.
It is considered proven that coffee is healthy. Through the roasting of the coffee beans, important components that are still completely preserved in green coffee are reduced.
Chlorogenic Acid - Weight Loss with Green Coffee
Artichokes, potatoes, and nettles are known for their weight-reducing properties – also due to their chlorogenic acid content. Chlorogenic acid inhibits the absorption of glucose in the blood and simultaneously the storage of fat. However, no other food contains such a high concentration of chlorogenic acid as green coffee.
Chlorogenic acid is naturally present in green coffee at 7%. The green coffee from Kaffeerösterei Kirmse is only ground and retains its valuable natural composition.
The Coffee for the Production of Green Coffee
The green coffee bean that we use for the production of green coffee extract is our coffee “Nicaragua” - Flores del Cafe” – a Women’s Fund Project. The green coffee beans are exclusively hand-picked by women, are fair trade, and holistically support the women in their homeland. Microcredits are provided to the female coffee farmers so that they can buy land and pass it on to their daughters. The planting and harvesting, irrigation technology, the purchase of machinery, etc., are organized in a joint cooperative. The women from Jinotega can thus contribute significantly to securing their family's livelihood.
The Taste of Green Coffee
Green coffee cannot be compared in taste to roasted coffee. Green coffee has a rather mild aroma, reminiscent of green tea and herbal tea, with a slight grassy taste.
Tip: Try green coffee in combination with ginger: Grate a little bit of ginger into the freshly prepared green coffee and enjoy the double power of two exceptionally healthy and delicious gifts of nature.
Green Coffee and its Preparation
For the preparation of green coffee, we recommend a tea strainer so that the green coffee does not continue to brew after the brewing time. This way, the green coffee bean can best develop its healthy properties.
Place one level to slightly heaped teaspoon (3-5g) of green coffee into the tea strainer, steep with 250 ml of water, max. 95 °C hot, let steep for 4 minutes, remove the tea strainer, and the green coffee is ready.
Enjoy up to 3-5 cups daily.
