The Coffee „Brasil“ is a Bourbon coffee. The yellow Bourbon coffee cherry is exclusively cultivated and harvested in Brazil and Kenya. Known as „Brazilian Yellow Bourbon“, this coffee is the special one among Brazilian coffees. Consisting of 100% Arabica beans, Brazilian Yellow Bourbon is grown at specific altitudes. Brazilian coffee mostly originates from large monoculture plantations, but Brazilian Yellow Bourbon distinctly stands out in quality and taste.
Coffee „Brasil“, mild and delightful, delicately sweet in aroma, with a well-rounded, harmonious taste and low acidity, is particularly pleasant and digestible.
The Coffee „Indonesia“ is as versatile and multifaceted as Indonesia itself. This highland coffee thrives at altitudes of 1,100m to 1,300m on volcanic soil at the tip of Sumatra and, as an Arabica, is rather an exception, as Indonesia produces 90% Robusta coffee. Indonesian coffee is processed dry using the Giling Basah method. The coffee beans turn bluish-green, acidity is reduced, and the coffee gains body and aromas.
With fine acidity, subtly earthy, smoky in taste, Coffee „Indonesia“ is considered the Arabica with the highest diversity of flavours.
Coffee „Malabar“, „Monsooned Malabar“, is an Indian coffee that thrives in the west of India at altitudes of 1,000m to 2,000m. During „Monsooning“, the coffee beans of Coffee „Malabar“ experience high humidity due to monsoon winds and monsoon rains. Colour and taste are uniquely influenced, and acidity is reduced. „Monsooning“ recreates the long journey that coffee beans once undertook across the sea towards Europe. „Monsooned Malabar“ with its classic note. Coffee, as in the days of seafarers.
„Monsooned Malabar“ is a nutty, delicate palate pleasure with velvety mildness and pleasant acidity, a harmony for the senses.
Coffee „Ethiopia“ is considered the country of origin of Arabica coffee and is also called the Wine of Arabia. The coffee grows wild in the gardens of Ethiopia in pristine nature at altitudes of over 2000m. The Heirloom coffee beans are traditionally sun-dried and are incomparable in quality and flavour diversity. Coffee "Ethiopia" stands for organically grown highland coffee that is fair trade.
Floral, with a fine spice and citrus notes in taste, the coffee from Ethiopia is accompanied by a balanced sweetness.
The Coffee „Sulawesi Kalossi“, also an Indonesian coffee, grows on the island of Sulawesi between Borneo and New Guinea. This coffee is a rarity and offers a completely individual taste experience, even compared to its relative from the island of Sumatra. Grown at altitudes between 700m and 1,700m, the coffee is wet-processed and dried in the tropical sun of the dream island of Sulawesi. The hallmark of Coffee „Sulawesi Kalossi“ is its rich, strong, deep, complex taste, full of spice and body, reminiscent of tobacco and dark chocolate.
Coffee „Uganda“ - Together with „Schenke eine Ziege e.V.“, Kaffeerösterei Kirmse from Zwiesel advocates for the direct marketing of Coffee „Uganda“ - for the local people in Uganda. This African coffee, a fantastic highland coffee, grows in the Ruwenzori Mountains at altitudes of 1,300m to 2,400m in lush nature, on the border with the Republic of Congo.
„Schenke eine Ziege e.V.“ stands for holistic direct development aid in Uganda and supports people in health, education, and income.
